Good day. Here is something I drew on iPad as a downtime holiday project and Procreate recorded the process. I can’t believe I misspelt ‘ILLUSTRATION’ in the intro. Ah well. This was fun and helped me unwind. Hope your 2024 is going well.

What a great site. I am a young future illustrator – still in school – who hasn’t yet ventured into tech for my drawings. I am presently paper based. Do you have any recommendations as to what my first step should be? Again great site. Love you posts. They’re super funny. And your rough cartoon work is awesome.
Hey Steve, thanks for the comment. Re getting into tech for drawing, I guess an iPad Pro with an Apple Pencil or Apple Pencil 2 with the app Procreate is not a bad place to start. You could also get a little Wacom tablet or something if you want to start with a PC or Mac, but the iPad + Procreate is pretty friendly, and you should learn about layers and stuff. Thereafter, or even if you want to start with computers, you can start with Photoshop and a digital tablet. I guess the important thing is to just start somewhere and then find what works for you.
