News
Hello! Believe it or not I am still alive. Guys, I’ve been doing some (I think) super-cool projects, but I don’t think I’m permitted to show you the work until it’s public. So, sorry. Here’s what’s been happening in other news.
Oda (my lovely las) and I went to the SAMAs (the South African Music Awards) at Sun City. I was nominated for ‘Best Music Video’ for the animated music video I made for Goldfish’ ‘One Million Views’. It didn’t win unfortunately, but we truly had a grand old time and made good use of The Valley of the Waves water-park nearby. Also I managed to get a pic of Oda with Danny K – night made:

We then went to AfrikaBurn in the Klein Karoo desert. THAT was amazing. Man oh man. I recommend AfrikaBurn to anyone who’d like to be creatively rejuvinated. It’s a really good place to rest because there’s no cellphone or wifi reception (afaik) so you’re pretty much doing your thing in the desert for a week and getting back in touch with normal biorhythms. Awesome. There are big sculptures people make and then they burn them at night. It is quite spectacular.

I also found this picture of a cat I had drawn:
Here’s a song I made last night:
Thank you for reading.

Thanks ma 🙂
Fun blog! The pictures of out in the desert remind me of the Hippy Days in California, here in the U.S! They would have some pretty wild fires there too. Looks like you had a terrific time. Congratulations on your nomination for the Best Music Video… what a feat!! You’ll make it!!
Hi Gwynn, yes, ‘AfrikaBurn’ is the South African equivalent of the U.S. ‘Burning Man’ festival. Thanks for the congrats 🙂
